About HCJB Global

That all may hear & and know & and grow & and pass it on

For more than 70 years, HCJB Global's passion has been making disciples of Jesus Christ. Using mass media, healthcare and education, we are doing whatever it takes, so all may hear & and know & and grow & and pass it on.

Working with partners around the globe, we now have ministries in more than 100 countries. The gospel is airing in more than 120 languages and dialects. Thousands of our healthcare patients are meeting Jesus. Nationals are being trained as missionaries, pastors, broadcasters and healthcare providers.

Our goal: For everyone on earth to hear the gospel in a language they can understand, be transformed, become active, vital parts of the Body of Christ, then impact their neighborhoods and nations.

Mass Media With One Message

One mass medium does not fit all.

In 1931, when HCJB Global pioneered the world's first missionary broadcast station, shortwave radio was an effective medium for most of the world. However, technology changed rapidly in the last half of the twentieth century, and new media emerged.

HCJB Global responded by delivering the gospel through the most effective medium for each target audience and culture. While our means change, our message remains the same: Jesus is the way, the truth and the life.

Today that message is carried over direct-to-home satellite, FM, AM, shortwave, television and the Internet. As new media develop in the twenty-first century, we will continue to do whatever it takes, so all may hear.

Working with partner ministries around the globe, we are planting new local radio ministries every month. Internet chatrooms are touching many who do not listen to Christian radio, while shortwave and satellite broadcasting reach into the remote areas of the world, even penetrating closed countries hostile to the gospel.

Our highly qualified missionary engineers design, build and install the innovative broadcasting equipment best suited to each locale. HCJB Global is a global leader in using technology for ministry.

Compassionate, Christ-Centered Healthcare

HCJB Global 's medical teams provide healthcare with a big difference - medicine with a generous dose of compassion and the message that God loves each one.

More than 240,000 Ecuadorians were served by our heathcare teams last year, and nearly 3,000 of them were referred to local churches after making professions of faith in Christ. They came for healing and met the Healer.

More than 8,000 patients who could not afford the care they needed were helped through the generosity of the donors to our Charity Fund.

Hundreds of rural families who were carrying water from polluted streams to use in their homes now have clean, running water through the help of our community development outreaches.

Today we are taking what we have learned at our hospitals, neighborhood clinics, mobile clinics and clean water projects and using that experience to help partner organizations plant new medical ministries around the world.

Medicine and ministry together are reaching many who would never visit a church.

Training Nationals to Multiply Ministry

HCJB Global is multiplying the effectiveness of its ministry by training national church leaders, healthcare professionals and media personnel to impact their nations.

Nationals know best how to reach their neighbors with the gospel. They understand their culture in ways an outsider never could.

So we are passing on our technical skills and ministry know-how to faithful nationals who can reach this generation and train others to reach future generations.

Apoyo, a joint ministry with Leadership Resources, Inc., is training national pastors and leaders across Latin America, Russia and China.

Our teaching hospital in Quito, Ecuador, is training national medical professionals to minister with medicine.

We are training national broadcasters in all five of our regions, plus the Christian Center of Communications offers a three-year college-level media program in Quito.

Missionaries can only do so much. Trained and equipped nationals can do so much more.
